Homemade sugar scrub is the most natural way to soften, exfoliate and to freshen up the skin. Sugar can be used as a natural exfoliator without the harsh chemical you may find in over the counter products.  Its fine texture gently exfoliates the skin without leaving harmful residue that can clog the pores. When essential oils are added to it, it promotes moisturizing properties that prevents the skin from drying. It is safe to even use on chapped lips. With all the exposure to everyday pollution, dirt and even sun exposure, it can give your skin a nice glow and remove dead skin cells and remove excess oils.

I have been dealing with stubborn, painful callouses on my feet for years and going to the doctors every 8 weeks to have them” shaved” down. She told me just to keep them moisturized. I just didn’t see any difference.

So I started doing research online and heard about sugar scrubs and how it exfoliates dry skin cells on every part of the body. We had been using  Young Living Essential Oils, so I thought what the hell, I’ll give it a shot. It has been unbelievable what these little bottles of oils have done for us. So I am here today to show you how easy it is to make your very own natural, chemical free sugar scrub, with just a few simple ingredients. What better time than the beginning of Summer.

Lemonade Mint Sugar Scrub

½ cup white sugar
½ cup Almond Oil
½ tsp. Vitamin E Oil
15 drops of YLEO Lemon Oil
10 drops of YLEO Peppermint Oil
Optional: 1 tsp. Fresh mint, muddled

Mix all ingredients into a medium glass mixing bowl using a wire whisk.
Done….lol….that easy peasy. Now just put you scrub into a nice glass jar or
a Ball Mason jar.
To use for hands  you literally need maybe a tablespoon, start rubbing hands together, arms and don’t forget the fingertips. Then rinse with warm water and pat dry.
Your hands, feet and body will feel and smell amazingly soft.

*Make a separate scrub for your feet*
*Never use plastic or wooden utensil or bowls, as the oils will be absorbed
into them. I use glass and ceramic.
